Revlon is at the higher end price point of drugstore/highstreet makeup, which is why I haven’t tried many products from the brand.  Last year, everyone went crazy for their lip butters – but it just didn’t do it for me.  I found the colours to be quite sheer.  And my philosophy with lipsticks are, Go Bright, or Go Home.  When I say bright, I suppose I mean pigmented.  Sheer lipsticks, I’m not a massive fan of.
BeautyMart had a 50% off sale a couple of months ago, and I picked up Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry, £7.49 (link).  It’s a really vampy reddish-almost-brown shade.  If you like your dark shade of lipsticks, this is definitely for you.

I really like the black packaging with a clear top, means you can see the colour without opening the top.  Small detail, but makes a difference!  The lipstick itself is incredibly pigmented.  One swipe gives a solid wash of colour, and you can build it up to be even darker.  If you want to wear it quite sheer, you can apply one swipe and lightly dab some of the colour off with a tissue.  This gives a really nice blood red stain.

The finish is lustre (as named super lustrous!) and in my experience isn’t the best for such dark colours.  It significantly reduces the longevity, if it was a matte finish, the staying power would be much better.  Having said that, the formula is very creamy and moisturising.  Therefore, easy to take off, something my lips thank me for!

My first lip product from Revlon hasn’t left me disappointed at all!  I really enjoyed wearing it in the colder months.  I may continue to wear it in the evenings.

Have you tried Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks?  What’s your favourite dark lipstick?
