I've tried a lot of Rimmel eye products, but not much else.  Rimmel's Kate Matte Lipsticks are a firm favourite with most people, so I decided to give it a go.  I went for the shade 107, as it's described as a wine/berry shade.  It came across as quite a vampy yet wearable shade.

I love the packaging, it's really pretty and looks really chic.  The product itself is beautiful in the bullet.  It is not at all drying, I actually found it to be quite moisturising.  It glides on without dragging or clinging.  I love that unlike a lot of highstreet/drugstore matte lipsticks, the formula is just so creamy but gives such a matte finish!

I would say it's a lot more pink than 'wine', so if you're looking for a more deep, darker red, this is it.  You can see in the swatch, the lipstick is highly pigmented - even with one swipe, the colour payoff is really good.  Longevity is average, about 3-4 hours, which I think is good for highstreet lipstick and the price point.  This is mostly down to the formula being creamy.  I much prefer the formula to be like this and have a little less staying power as opposed to clinging to your lips and drying them out!

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipsticks, £5.49 are widely available including Boots and Feel Unique.

Have you tried any of the Rimmel Kate Matte lipsticks?  Which is your favourite?
