Stila Breast Cancer Awareness Cheek Palette Positively Pink | Review & Swatch

Stila is a brand that I had seen dotted around but did not know much about.  I always loved their packaging.  Then when I really got into watching beauty videos on YouTube, I heard Estée from Essiebutton talk about their convertible cheeks and lips colours.

Last Christmas I bit the bullet and ordered some stuff from the Stila website, the Stila Cheek Palette being one of the products.  I’m always drawn to quite bright cheek colours, because I find that they instantly perk your complexion up.  Also, a portion of the proceeds are donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, buying makeup for a good cause?  Count me in!

When I received it, I was a little unsure as I thought the colour may look chalky on me or look grey.  It just looks like a quite pale sort of pink.  I will tell you, as soon as I applied this to my cheeks, I just loved the effect.  It’s a beautiful, pretty subtle pink and the off white colour from the ‘bows’ give the most amazing sheen to your cheeks!  It's described as giving a velvety finish and I agree with that statement.  It’s a very unique product, at least in my collection and I just can’t believe the results!

I'd say it's a hybrid product that gives you the flush of a blusher and the sheen/glow of a highlight.  Most of the pan has pink blush powder with two decorative bow designs containing a pearly powder that mixes with the blush to make give the glowing finish.  The packaging is really sturdy, and the pan is quite large so you get a good amount of product in the pan.  It’s very finely milled and has brilliant colour payoff.  It is not at all chalky or powdery.  I’m just absolutely in love!

Stila has won me over with this cheek palette and rest assured I will be trying out more of their products.  Watch this space!
