I’m very loyal to my Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm (review
here) and there haven’t been many that have lived up to the magic pot. However I’m always keen to try new balms and
see if it does.
I came across the Bee Good brand via Sarah’s blog, Temporary Secretary. This intrigued me into looking into the brand
and I really loved their philosophy. Bee
Good is a British brand who does not test on animals and harness honey from
British bees. Bonus point to them, there
is no mineral oil in their products! Hurrah!
Bee Good Vanilla
& Honey Lip Balm*, £4.75 is a rich, replenishing lip balm that
promises to intensively condition and soothe dry lips. It has quite a gel like texture that turns softer
when applied to the lips. I’d say it has
quite a glossy finish. It smells
incredible! If you’re a vanilla
fragrance fan, you’ll love this!
In terms of replenishing my lips, I found that it was
okay for day to day use. The tube is
handy for travelling. The applicator
ensures hygiene as you’re not dipping your fingers in a tub when you’re out and
about. However, I found that it didn’t
help much with dry lips. I still had to
use my Nuxe lip balm at night, as this simply didn’t do the same job. It’s light and moisturising enough for the
day time and I’ve been carrying it round in my pocket this summer. I’ve also used this as a clear gloss on top
of drying lipsticks!
I thought that the packaging was very eye-catching and
unique. Straightaway, you’d know it was
a Bee Good product. I’ve enjoyed using
this as the sweet, vanilla fragrance lingers and it’s light on your lips so you
don’t feel like you have a thick, lip balm on in the heat of summer.
If you’re looking for something affordable and minimal
for the summer, this needs to be in your handbag. I really want to try out more Bee Good
products, as I their brand philosophy have really enticed me.

balm? Have you tried anything from Bee
