I have the colour Villa Lante, which I suspect isn’t available in the UK, as I can’t seem to find a link! It’s a pink with purple undertones, which I believe makes it perfect for paler complexions. With my olive complexion, it was slightly too cool. However I played around with a No7 lip liner in Plum, and found that it blends really well and makes the colour more wearable! Give it a try, next time you have a lip product that doesn’t wow you, mix it up with a lip liner!
The formula was really creamy and moisturising. It felt really nourishing on the lips but the downfall of that was not great longevity. It stayed a couple of hours but as soon as I was doing anything (eating/drinking) – it quickly wore off. However as the pencil is really handy to carry around and easy to apply, it wasn’t much of a hassle to reapply. I also found that, without the lip liner, the Satin Lip Pencil texture looked somewhat streaky (see image below). Once blended with the lip liner, this issue was resolved.

I do love NARS but wasn’t massively impressed by the Satin Lip Pencils, they’re just not on par with the amazing Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. If you haven’t tried them – you need them in your life!
