I’ve been obsessed with cream/balm cleansers for quite
some time now. In my quest to find the
perfect cleanser, I’ve been trying out various ones. Today’s cream cleanser is from Bee Good. I’ve mentioned in a previous post (here)
how much I adored their philosophy. The
brand’s story and philosophy is something I feel I can relate to.
Bee Good’s Honey & Propolis 2 in 1
Cream Cleanser*, £11.50 is a rich, creamy cleanser. It comes with a muslin cloth and is packaged
in a handy tube. I don’t tend to use the
muslin cloth, I use my Primark flannels.
I usually use a 20p sized blob and massage all over my
face then wipe away with a flannel. It
dissolves all my makeup including all my eye makeup. The texture of the cleanser is really creamy;
I’d say it’s almost balmy so it gives enough of a ‘slip’ to give yourself a
proper face massage. The fragrance is
really subtle and really nice. It smells
better than the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish in my opinion (review
here).
The active ingredients in the cleanser are honey and
propolis. Honey is known for its
skincare benefits. It’s a natural
antioxidant protects the skin from external damage. It also moisturises leaving the skin
soft. Propolis is a new ingredient for
me, so I did a little research. It’s a
resin like substance gathered by bees.
It has a long history if medicinal use due to its antibacterial and
antifungal properties. Like honey, it’s
also an antioxidant and helps to heal wounds.
Tiny little warning, I’ve read that Propolis can cause allergic
reactions, so you might want to test it out before you fully use it. I haven’t had any issues whatsoever (I suffer
from really bad hayfever) but that
doesn’t mean to say it’ll be the same for everyone! Just to note, it is marketed as suitable for all skin types. They do not test on animals and their products do not use synthetic colours, mineral oil, silicone, SLS and SLES or parabens.
I’ve been using this cleanser for around four weeks now
and I really like it! It completely
removes all my makeup at the end of the day.
I’ve also used it in the mornings when my skin has felt dry, and it
gently took off the dry, flaky skin. It’s
such a lovely creamy/balmy texture, sometimes I just want to keep massaging it
on my skin because it just feels so nice.
I probably still have about half the 100 ml tube left so it lasts a good while
too.
If you’re after a nice cream cleanser that cleanses and looks after your skin, you need to give
this a go! Seriously, I’m so so impressed by Bee Good – I might just
go and live in their bee farm! Although
I won’t have to as the full Bee Good range will be available in Waitrose from
29th August! Such exciting
news for such a great brand! Make sure
you go and have a play with the range in store!
