Most of us are always looking for ways to easily stay
perfectly groomed. Easier said than
done! If you have the perfect tools to
hand, it does however make the job much easier.
Hand & Nail
Tools
I have quite an issue with rough cuticles. I like to ensure I moisturise them with oil
or a balm. I’ve found multi-tasking oils
to be well suited to the job. Nuxe
Huile Prodigieuse Multi Usage Dry Oil* has been perfect as I can
moisturise my cuticles without my fingers and hand feeling greasy. I can go about my doing ma thang minus greasy, slippery fingers!
An alternative I’ve recently found that I love is The
Body Shop Wild Argan oil Miracle Solid Oil*, £8. Why you ask?
Firstly it is super nourishing with a balmy texture, it doesn’t turn
into oil in contact with skin but remains balmy and really moisturises my
cuticles. Secondly, I love how portable it is.
With oils, you always run the risk of spilling it all over your bag,
whereas this solid oil in a tin can be carried around in your handbag to be
used anywhere, anytime. Bonus – it smells
incredible. I’m rubbish at describing
fragrances, so I won’t even try, but please go to The Body Shop and just have a
try of this. You will not regret it!
Nail clippers are an essential for me. I can’t do nail scissors, they just don’t have
the same kind of stability (yes, I am aware that I’m not marrying my nail
clipper…). I’ve been loving the Ted Baker Nail
Clipper*, £6. It’s compact
and precise so helps me to trim my nails how I want. It changes from squares to ovals to even
squovals!
Eyes
Eyes are the first thing others notice and we put so much
effort into our peepers! To ensure all
the efforts are not wasted, you need to prep and groom the eye area to
perfection.
Eyebrows – they frame the eyes and add definition to your
face. I keep mine well shaped and
groomed with a pair of tweezers, like these beautiful Ted
Baker Tweezers*, £6. They
are sharp and do the job perfectly. I
love how elegant and pretty they are. I
use my Boots No7
Magnifying Mirror, £11 to help me get all the stubborn brow hairs.
I love long, defined and volumised lashes. Achieving this with just mascara is quite difficult
so meet my friend, the Ted Baker
Eyelash Curler*, £8. This
helps me to give a real lift to the roots of my lashes, which helps my lashes look
and maintain the length and curl!
So that’s my beauty tools collection to help stay
groomed.
