I’ve never tried fibre mascaras before. So I was a little unsure about how this would
work. Initially when I pulled the wand
out of the bottle, I was a little baffled as tiny little dry fibres were all
over my desk! Then I read the
instructions (maybe would’ve helped if I did this first! D’oh!)
You’re supposed to apply a coat of mascara, and whilst
your lashes are ‘wet’ with the mascara, steadily apply the fibres on your
lashes so they ‘stick’ to the wet mascara coated lashes. Then you apply a second coat of mascara to ‘seal’
the fibres in and voila!

It definitely made a visible difference, and saves all
the hassle of applying false lashes. It
was easy to remove as well, just with cotton wool and your usual eye makeup
remover.
However, I am not a massive fan and here’s why. Firstly, as I was applying them, the fibres
went everywhere! On my face, IN my eyes, the surface where my makeup was…it
wasn’t fun to clean up. I apply mascara
last so had to redo my foundation/concealer under my eyes. I suppose you can get around that by doing
your eyes first. It was just too messy
for me to be honest. I’m a no fuss
makeup kinda gal…and rarely wear false lashes!
I love long nails as I think polish looks much nicer on
slightly longer nails. Unfortunately my
nails (one or the other) always splits/peels after a certain length! So I never really have even nails in my hand
*sigh*.
It’s a clear, gel like formula and applies nicely on to
nails. I liked that it had a shiny
finish so your nails looked polished without an actual manicure. I’ve had them only nails for over two weeks
and it has definitely helped with peeling.
My nails have felt stronger as they haven’t broken off
spontaneously. I’m not sure about the nail
growth part, as it’s hard to measure that!
My only tiny issue with this is that the smell is very
strong! It has the usual nail polish
smell, but x10!! You really have to turn away as you paint your nails, but it
does go away after a couple of minutes after you’ve closed the bottle. Other than that, anything that helps my soft,
peeling nails are worth giving a try!
