As #LipWeek comes to an end, I’m going to share my picks
for AW14. Some of these have already
made an appearance on my blog, so you know how much I enjoy them!
Rimmel Kate
Moss Matte Lipstick in 107 is a perfect red-berry shade for AW (see
swatch here). It has a matte finish
but doesn’t fry your lips out. The
pigmentation is great without compromising the formula. As you can see from my review, I adore it!
MAC
Lipstick in Rebel is another that has featured on my blog more than
once (here
& here),
proving how much of a staple product it is.
It has a lovely satin finish that’s perfect for the upcoming drier
months. Rebel is perfect for those who
are perhaps a little scared of darker shades because of its versatility. It can be worn lightly to give a pink-purple
finish or much more opaque for a vampy look.
Either way it’s beautiful, and I can’t imagine anyone not loving this!
NARS
Semi Matte Lipstick in Fire Down Below is a new addition to my
collection. I’ve worn this a couple of
times already and love it! I have a full
post coming up on this soon so watch this space! It’s a semi matte finish so doesn’t make your
lips completely matte. I think that’s a
great look for AW as complete matte lips can be unflattering this time of
year. The shade is a very deep brownish
red and I’d say it compliments all skin tone as there are no orange or blue
undertones. This is soon making its way
to the top of my lipstick favourites!
Revlon
Super Lustrous Lipstick in Black Cherry is a really flattering deep
plum shade. It gives a beautiful high
shine finish making it perfect for glam events.
In my full
review here, I’ve also mentioned how you can sheer it out for a more
wearable day to day look. This is
definitely for the deep shade lippie loving girls. If you want to venture into more vampy
glamorous looks and try something different than red, give Black Cherry a go!
