Last
couple of years, Boots have launched campaigns to encourage women to step out
of their comfort zone, to try something new with their makeup looks. This year their campaign was focussed on 28
ways to Give It A Go (#GiveItAGoDaily). There are 28
suggestions including trying a new shade of lipstick, green nail polish,
contouring and rainbow coloured eyeliners!
I will share some of these with you in the coming weeks…keep your eyes
peeled!
At
the press event, there were experts to hand to show us how to create these looks. For make-up and brows,
there was a trio of experts – international make-up artist, Sarah Jagger,
award winning make-up artist Louise Constad as well as SEVENTEEN’s
very own make-up artist, Vanesa Guallar.
For hair trends, there were celebrity
hairstylists, Enzo Volpe and Sherman Hawthorne. For
the perfect talons, celebrity nail manicurist, Mike Pocock was at hand (no pun intended)!
Sarah showed me how to achieve the perfect
glowing skin using Clinique Up-Lighting Liquid
Illuminator in Natural. She applied this on top of my foundation to
provide a natural glow, and concealed using the new Estee Lauder Double Wear
Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter. It conceals blemishes and also highlights the
under eye area from any dark circles! To
step out of my comfort zone, I decided to go for a blue eye liner, instead of
my usual black liner. Sarah used the No7 Stay Precise Liquid Eye
Liner in Sky High; it added an electric blue pop of colour to my
lash line and really made my eyes pop.
To keep the lips minimal, she lightly dabbed on No7 BB Lips in Berry Rose to create a light
berry stain on the lips.
I have very
long hair, and as a result I’m too lazy to do much with it. Enzo created a full head of curls for me
using the BaByliss Diamond Waves. You can get even curls all
over and it lasted for a good 7 hours, which for me is a record! He used the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt
Texturising Spray to give texture and I think it helped my overly
smooth hair to hold the curls for longer!
As you know, I’m a big lover of nail
colours! So when I was presented with
the choice between nude and green nails, guess what I went with? Yep, green it was! Well, green with an autumnal twist, teal to
be precise. In AW, we’re going to be
seeing a lot of green nails in various shades of the colour as well as
nudes! I thought it was quite an
interesting trend, as I don’t associate nude nails with AW at all! In the picture, I’m sporting Max Factor Gel Shine Lacquer
Nail Polish in Gleaming Teal.
I had a lot of fun at the event trying out the
new trends. I took away a lot of
knowledge and ideas to try out looks that I wouldn’t usually go for. I will hopefully share some with you guys
over the coming weeks!

you know, or experiment with new looks?
