Hand Care | Hand Creams #Hand&Tips

Welcome to #Hands&Tips!  This week I’m going to bring you all things hands and nails.  We use our hands all day for all sorts work like cleaning, eating, lifting etc. but do we look after them enough?  I’m guilty of washing my hands multiples times throughout the day and not applying hand cream on.  This has resulted in paper-like skin on my hands.  So I now make a conscious effort to leave hand creams in every corner of my house to ensure I do use hand cream!
I’m going to bring you five of my top hand creams today.  First and foremost, my holy grail hand cream of all times has to be L’OccitaneShea Butter Hand Cream.  I’m on my 5th/6th tube at the moment and I have two backups.  If that doesn’t tell you how much I adore this product, I don’t know what will!  It’s the most moisturising cream and sinks in really well into the skin.  It instantly hydrates and softens my skin without any greasiness.  It smells really nice and feels luxurious!  I use this overnight every day without fail and my hands feel great in the morning.  I don’t carry it around with me as it’s quite chunky and even the travel size I don’t find the screw top to be very user friendly when out and about.  However if you suffer from any sort of dryness on your hands and want an amazing hand cream, you need this in your life!

La Roche-Posay is one of my favourite skincare brands and when I heard about the Cicaplast HandCream, I had to give it a go.  It’s very affordable in contrast to the L’Occitane one.  The texture is very gel like yet instantly sinks into the skin without feeling wet.  My hand feel instantly moisturised and I don’t need to wait for my hands to dry to do something else.  This is a great hand cream for anyone and the flip top opening makes it great for keeping it in your handbag.  Love it!

Soap &Glory Hand Food is another favourite of mine as I think this is quite close to the L’Occitane one.  It’s not a dupe or the same, but it’s very close!  It’s very rich but it does take a while to sink in.  It smells a-mazing!  It has the signature S&G fragrance and feels really smooth on the skin.  It leaves my hands feeling soft in the morning too!  A great one if you’re on the hunt for an affordable intensive hand cream.

Bee Good Honey& Crambe Daily Hand Cream* is a new one in my collection.  I’ve already mentioned how much I love the brands philosophy.  This hand cream contains British beeswax, wild flower honey and vitamin E to really moisturise your hard working skin.  It smells lovely, not at all overwhelming and absorbs easily despite moisturising my hands well.  It strengthens and protects your skin to ensure it retains its softness.  If you want to know exactly what’s in your hand cream and one that lives up to its claims, look no further!  Another winner from Bee Good!

Vaseline HealthyHand & Stronger Nails Hand Cream is one that I keep at my desk at work.  This for me is basic hand cream that does what it says on the tin.  No fuss no massive claims, a lovely freshly fragranced hand cream that ensures your skin isn’t left dry after washing.  If you have no issues with dry hands and want something that you don’t have to pay the earth for, this is for you.  It’s great value for money and is easily accessible at most Boots, Superdrug and even supermarkets!

Our hands are one of our most used organs and some of us are guilty of neglecting them.  The skin on our hands are one of the first to show signs of ageing.  So make sure you really look after them from today and minimise the damage done.

What’s your favourite hand cream?  Have you tried any of five I’ve talked about?  Share in the comments below or tweet me @aspiring_london!
