MAC Lipstick Collection #LipWeek

MAC Lipstick Collection #LipWeek - Aspiring Londoner

I don’t know if calling my eight MAC lipsticks a collection is a bit of a stretch – but why not?!  Eight lipsticks from one brand is a big deal, it’s a testament to how good the product is.  So without further ado, let’s get started!

MAC Lipstick Collection #LipWeek - Aspiring Londoner

Previously I posted my top five MAC lipsticks here.  All MAC lipsticks are available on their website priced at £15.50.  Apologies the names in the photos got cut off.  So I’ve added the names and a brief description below:

MAC Lipstick Collection Swatches #LipWeek - Aspiring Londoner

This was part of the MAC’s Alluring Aquatic limited edition.  It is a muted rosy pick with a cream sheen finish.  Initially I wanted it for the packaging (it’s beautiful!) but when I tried it on, it was a perfect ‘my lips but better’ shade.  I’ve worn this quite a lot in the last month because it’s such a easy to wear shade.

Craving is described as a ‘burst of plum’ but looks quite pink in certain lights.  I like this for autumn as it’s not too dark, not too light.  Gives a nice pop of colour but not as bright as summery colours.  It looks quite different on different skin tones in my opinion, so quite a nice one to try for something a little different.

Girl About Town
I’ve mentioned my love for GAT before.  It was my first ever MAC lipstick and one of my favourites.  It’s a bright fuchsia with blue undertones and looks stunning on all skin tones.  It was love at first sight for me, and I imagine it is for many – a must have for all pink lipstick fans!

Flat Out Fabulous
FOF is part of the retro matte collection.  It has a super matte finish yet is very moisturising on the lips.  It has tremendous lasting power even with eating and drinking!  It’s a really bright plum shade which I’ve been sporting in the summer to make a change from all the coral lipsticks, and it’s wearable during autumn/winter too.  I love how different the shade is, if you’re one for unique lipsticks, you need to give this a go!

Rebel is another one of my all-time favourite lipsticks!  Many of my friends and family have been enabled by yours truly to purchase Rebel.  This is a really nice plum/berry shade however it’s quite versatile.  You can wear it as a sheer tint to a full on autumnal plum lip.  The satin finish keeps your lips hydrated and gives your lips a nice sheen.  This is a cult shade for every lipstick lover out there and you need this in your collection for autumn/winter!

Vegas Volt
I’ve raved about this last summer (review here).  It’s a bright coral perfect for warmer months, especially if you’re sporting a tan.  It compliments most skin tones as it has the perfect mix of orange and pink.  Keep this in your list for a summer getaway, you won’t regret it!

Another one from the retro matte collection.  Same fabulous super matte finish and moisturising formula.  It’s a really nice orangey-red, quite similar to Lady Danger, possibly slightly more orange.  I really like this as it adds something to your run of the mill red lipstick.  It’s really striking and I always get a lot of compliments whenever I wear it.

Russian Red
My favourite red for most occasions with a matte finish.  It has a blue undertones and suits most skin tones.  The formula is very long lasting but doesn’t dry out my lips at all!  I love this for a glam, statement bold lip.  If you love a deep red lipstick, this is for you!
