Another month closer to Christmas! I think I can get away with being excited about Christmas now, without people giving me funny looks! Last month, I've tried out literally tons of makeup. This'll be evident in my upcoming reviews. But I've picked out things that I've religiously used on a daily basis. Let's begin!
I have hyperpigmentation concerns and these retexturising pads help by to improve skin texture and dissolve dead skin cells. The active ingredient is glycolic acid from sugar canes. It is stronger than the Pixi Glow Tonic (full review here). I’ve been using it 3 days a week for the last couple of weeks and it has significantly helped with my skin. Blemish marks are fading faster and my skin is very smooth to the touch! It is strong stuff – so may sting if you have sensitive skin (it’s okay for me) and you must wear sunscreen every day! This is quite a miracle product I have in my stash that I know to be effective.
I’ve been quite lazy with mositurising recently and felt like this has made it so much easier to moisturise! The spray bottle means I can easily spray this on my skin in the shower and rub it in. It has a nice dry finish so isn’t sticky and doesn’t get on your clothes. The Argan oil fragrance is really lush and complements the season as it’s getting colder. It instantly relaxes me and feels really cosy! Absolutely adore this range!
I’ve previously tried many brow powder products from the high street and been disappointed. They always tend to be too warm for my brows and just look rather peculiar. So when I received this, I was sceptical. Needless to say, it blew me away! The shades were perfect for me – the gel and the powder. Looks really natural and you get a lot of product for your dosh. I’ll be doing a full review and comparison so watch this space! I will say, girls with darker hair – you need this!
I never thought anything could come close to the MAC 217 in the eyeshadow blending department. Then I met the Crown Brush C460! It’s not an exact dupe as such, but I’d say it’s the closest match I’ve found! It’s incredibly soft and really gets into the crease and blends. It’s flatter than the MAC 217, which means it can be used to pack on eyeshadow too! I’ve been using this non-stop in the last month. For a quarter of the price of the MAC 217, this is an amazing quality brush!
I have full review and swatches here. This makes it so easy to apply blush that I haven’t bothered with anything else. I’ve just had this in my makeup bag as my cheek product and that was it! I dab it in my cheek straight from the stick and blend with fingers – done! The colour payoff is amazing and the finish is such a pretty glow! If you’ve wanted to try the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balms (swatches here), these are an excellent budget alternative.
