I’m a massive, massive perfume
hoarder. I just love trying out new
fragrances and how they make me feel.
It’ll come as no surprise when I say you need a new fragrance for the party
season that smell and look the part.
I’ve included four of my favourites for Christmas gifts to a loved one
or a treat for you!
New to my stash, Angel has had a glam
makeover! This had me at the
packaging! My god! Just look at that glittery black star shaped
glass bottle with the mother of pearl stardust! I can’t even tell you how
much I love the bottle, definitely one of the prettiest packaging I’ve seen
around. It's a refillable packaging, so you can always have this in your collection! Thierry Mugler Angel Glamorama Limited Edition is classified as an oriental
vanilla fragrance. Scent notes include
top notes of bergamot orange, mandarine, jasmine, coconut, melon, Chinese
cinnamon, candy floss, middle notes of honey, jasmine, woodland lily, orchid,
rose, apricot, blackberry, peach, plum, red berry fruit and base notes of
amber, musk, tonkin beans, vanilla, caramel, black chocolate, patchouli.
Thierry Mugler Angel Glamorama fragrance composition is a creation of Olivier
Cresp, Yves de Chirin. The bottle is a design by Thierry Mugler. As you can tell there are a lot of notes so
initially it smells quite strong, but it’s rather unique and it gets better the
longer you have it on. The longevity of
this perfume is excellent, I can smell it on my scarf even after a couple of
days. It’s a beautiful yet sexy scent
for this time of year; highly recommend this for evening out or parties.
Dior J’Adore is no stranger to my
stash and I always have a bottle of
this in my perfume collection. This is
my 3rd bottle and I have no doubt, I’ll repurchase it forever. It’s the ultimate date night romance in a
bottle. It’s very feminine and the
packaging is very elegant. The shape of
the bottle to the golden lid, everything about it oozes class and elegance! Scent note includes top notes of bergamot
orange, mandarin, magnolia, melon, peach, pear, middle notes of freesia,
jasmine, woodland lily, orchid, rose, tuberose, violet, plum and base notes of
musk, blackberry, vanilla, cedar wood, amaranth. Overall it’s quite a floral fruity fragrance –
definitely give this a try next time you’re passing a Dior counter. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t instantly
fall in love!
Estee Lauder Modern Muse fast became a
one of my favourite perfumes upon its release.
This Christmas, Modern Muse Chic was released and I actually like this more than the original. It’s quite floral yet woody and musky at the
same time. Scent notes include top notes
of plum, artemisia, labdanum, middle notes of jasmine, lilium, tuberose, fir
and base notes of musk, sensual leather, vanilla, oud, cashmere woods, ebony
wood, patchouli. It is luxury in
a bottle. The packaging is really pretty
and that extra depth it has compared to the original just makes it that little
bit better. One of the finest perfumes
in my collection without a doubt!
I find Jo Malone perfumes to be quite
unique. I’ve previously struggled to
find a fragrance from them that I completely adored, which is why I never
purchased any. This summer they released
the Wood Sage and Sea Salt Cologne
and I fell head over heels for it. As
soon as I had a whiff of this, I knew it was meant to be! Scent notes include top notes of ambrette
seeds, heart notes of sea salt and base note of sage. It’s fresh and sweet at the same time. I can’t even describe how different and
amazing it is. If I didn’t have this
already, I’d have absolutely died for this as a Christmas present!
I hope you find something that tickles
your fancy from my perfume picks.
Perfumes are a hard gift to buy unless you really know the person you’re
buying for. I’ve picked ones that are
absolute favourites of mine. Also, I’m
not the best at describing perfume notes, so the notes are courtesy of
perfumemaster.org website!
