I’ve confessed my love for Clarins Lip Perfectors here; when these new Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Balm Perfectors, £18 were surfacing, I was all over them! So how do they fare against their predecessors?
I thought the packaging was much nicer in the sense that, the tubes are much more compact. I like the size of the packaging is smaller so it’s more portable. If you’ve read AL long enough, you’ll know how I dislike foam applicators, so this wins in that front as well. The colours in this range are ever so slightly more vibrant than the lip perfectors. Whereas the lip perfectors were all about being neutral and nude shades, these inject a subtle wash of colours welcoming spring to your makeup collection. I love how almost watercolour-esque the colours are. I almost instantly feel poetic when I apply the shade Red to my lips with minimal makeup. There are six shades in the range – 01 Rose, 02 Coral, 03 My Pink, 04 Orange, 05 Red and 06 Rosewood.
Think the lip perfectors, but with a moisturising balm-y formula in stick form. The texture is very creamy and nourishes your lip perfectly. When you apply it, it almost feels like the balm is melting on your lips. I’ve been using the balms a lot as my lips are suffering from the dry winter and harsh windy environment. The Lip Balm Perfectors smell really lovely too! The stick packaging makes it much more portable and user friendly when I’m out. My favourite shades have to be Red and Rosewood, as Rosewood is ‘my lips but better’ shade and the Red is the perfect injection of spring colour to my lips.
I think I’ll be purchasing Orange as if it’s anything like Red, I just know I’ll love it! P.S. They're on offer at the moment at Escentual at £15.80.
