Kiko Cosmetics Generation Next | The Spring Collection 2015

Kiko Cosmetics Generation Next Spring Collection Review - Aspiring Londoner

Kiko is spitting out collections faster than you can say new makeup!  I will say, the Spring Collection ‘Generation Next’ from Kiko Milano is up there with the best.  The packaging is great, not brilliant like the Daring Game collection (drool!).  It’s futuristic as the collection celebrates just that with its geometric packaging and metallic tones inspired by famous Italian Murano glassware.  The products are truly special.

Kiko obviously wanted their share of the piece of Korean Cushion makeup trend and have included a CC Cream Cushion, £15.90 in the collection.  Basically it’s a sponge base soaked in liquid foundation which gives quite a natural yet flawless finish.  There are six shades to choose from.  There is a Generation Next Face Brush, £15.90 too that’s specifically designed for using with the blusher, bronzer and highlighter from this collection.

There is also a Masterpiece Bronzer, £14.90 to give you a flawless glow to match your flawless complexion.  However the product that had me swooning was the Mosaic Blusher, £14.90.  There are mosaics of three blush colours that swirled together gives the loveliest glow of colour that I just can’t get enough of!  The pigmentation and colour payoff is perfect, and it stays put through the day too.  And look how purr-dy! *insert heart-eyed emoji*

Kiko Cosmetics Mosaic Blush Sand Rose and Cool Touch Eyeshadow 05 Modern Burgundy Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

The Mosaic Highlighter, £14.90 has a similar concept and has a mix of matte and shimmery shades to give you a glow like no other – this is on my wish list!  The Cool Touch Eye Shadow, £8.90 is a creamy eyeshadow that sets after application and gives an intense colour payoff lasting all day.  The packaging for this is great as it ensures that the product doesn’t dry out.  I love the intense pigmentation of the eyeshadow and they’d be perfect for a smoky eye for any event!  There are eight shades in the range.

I adore Kiko eyeliners, they last like no other.  The Crystal Eyeliners, £6.90 doesn’t disappoint, intense colour payoff and glides on the lash line with the softest touch.  Once applied, these set too, micellar water doesn’t take them off, you need hardcore oil based makeup remover.  What I also love is that, although the packaging looks like pencils, they’re actually wind-up mechanical pencils, so no need to sharpen!  If you want to make the tip sharper there is a small sharpener at the end of the pencil.  The perfect eyeliners in every way possible – I’m going to stockpile these eyeliners, mark my words.

Kiko Cosmetics Frosted Look Lipstick 03 Rosetta Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

Kiko Cosmetics Generation Next Glassy Lipgloss 05 Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

I may have found a dupe to my MAC Dangerous Lipstick (swatch here) in the Frosted Look Lipstick, £7.50 in 03 Rosetto.  It is wind up, chubby stick-esque lipstick that has intense pigmentation, creamy formula and a matte finish; exactly how I like my lipstick to be.  There are six shades in the range.  The Glassy Lipgloss, £7.90 is a hybrid between a lipstick and a lip gloss.  The pigmentation is better than a lip gloss and the formula is lighter than a lipstick.  I’ve been wearing it a lot during the day as it holds moisture well and adds a lovely wash of colour with shimmer that makes my lips look fuller than they are!  There are six shades to choose from and these are perfect for the winter to spring transition.

Kiko is just my favourite high street brand for makeup at the moment.  Their collections exude so much inspiration and the products do not disappoint!  The Kiko Cosmetics Generation Next Collection will be available from Kiko Stores nationwide and online at www.kikocosmetics.co.uk from March 2015.
