The Body Shop always entices me with their new releases. I always end up giving into their amazingly fragranced, beautifully packaged goodies. For Valentine’s Day, TBS have launched a new Limited Edition Smoky Poppy body care.
The Smoky Poppy Range includes:
Smoky Poppy Poppy Seed Scrub 200ml, RRP £13
Smoky Poppy Body Butter 200ml, RRP£13 (Also available as 50ml, RRP £5)
Smoky Poppy Shower Gel 250ml, RRP£4.50
Smoky Poppy Body Lotion 250ml, RRP £8
Smoky Poppy Bath Bombs 6 * 50g, RRP £12
Smoky Poppy Massage Oil 150ml, RRP £14
Smoky Poppy Eau de Toilette 30ml, RRP £8.50
Lip & Cheek Velvet Stick, RRP £12
I’ve tried a few products from the range and here are my thoughts. The Poppy Seed Body Scrub and have really enjoyed it. The texture of the scrub is thicker and creamier rather than oily. The actual poppy seeds in the scrub really exfoliate and leave behind supple skin.
The Smoky Poppy Body Lotion is again different to normal body lotions from TBS. It is thicker and creamier without being heavy. It sinks in fast and feels nourishing. The scent is so so lovely! You literally don’t even need perfume after you’ve applied this. It’s a hard one to describe; it’s sweet in a ‘grown up’ way and has something quite sexy about it.
Lastly, I tried the Lip & Cheek Velvet Stick in the ‘Universal’ shade. It’s a unique one from the other 5 shades as it looks black on the stick but reacts to the pH on your skin to give a unique colour. I know it’s gimmicky but a part of me was still excited to see what shade showed up on my skin. It was a lovely mauve-y purple. The sticks have a matte finish and have the staying power of a stain. I really love the finish as it’s so effortless and natural.
I’ve really enjoyed using the products so far. I want to try out the bath bombs next as I can imagine they’ll be amazing too!
