Eyeshadows and my greasy lids just don’t get on, they've never been friends and I never thought they will be. The only thing that ever really stayed on my lids is the By Terry Ombre Blackstars. However at £38 each, the price is a little steep for me to buy them all. I do believe I’ve found something that comes pretty close in the drugstore!
Meet Bourjois Colurband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow & Liner, £5.99 – the almost dupe to the By Terry Ombre Blackstars. I say almost, because a) the colour range isn’t as wide as By Terry, and b) it doesn’t last as long, but far out performs any other crayon eyeshadows I’ve tried.
The Bourjois Colourband Eyeshadows are creamy eyeshadow-liner duo in crayon form. They are really smooth and soft at application, yet once set, they do not budge. No micellar water, face wash could get rid; you definitely need to bring out oil based cleansers for these babies!
They lasted around 8 hours on me without any primers, and I was just blown away. I’m not sure how the bigger tip will allow you to use it as a liner, if you want a fine line, but for a smudgy, smoky line these are definitely good. The pigmentation are great as the swatches are just one swipe of the eyeshadows. There are six colours in the range – Noir Abstrait, Brun Dadaiste, Beige Minimal, Rose Fauviste, Mauve and Grid Graffiti; great options for neutral or smoky looks.
I really love the shades Brun Dadaiste and Mauve for everyday looks. These are the eyeshadows to get if you’re after something long-lasting on a budget.
