In The Mood For Love

Love Story by Chloe Perfume Review - Aspiring Londoner

By now, you know I have attachments to perfumes.  And by attachments, I mean borderline obsession.  I’m not even going to tell you how many I’m hoarding right now...!

My previous Valentine’s fragrance post was a little more generic, in terms of the recipients; whereas the fragrances today would be something for the special person in your life.

Love Story by Chloe Perfume Review - Aspiring Londoner

Love Story by ChloĆ© is very time of year appropriate.  The notes include top notes of neroli, middle notes of stephanotis jasmine, orange blossom and base notes of cedarwood.  The floral notes of stephanotis, the citrus notes of neroli and orange blossom and the musk notes combined make the perfect feminine yet sensual scent.  The citrus notes are what definitely attracted me towards the perfume.  It’s different to what I usually wear yet I adore it.  It’s one of those perfumes where people will stop you and ask what it is.

1 Million Intense Paco Rabanne Review - Aspiring Londoner

I love the perfume Lady Million by Paco Rabanne, so naturally I wanted to see if men’s version 1 Million Intense by Paco Rabanne measured up.  The scent has Heart notes of Spicy Masculine Flower, Rose, Musk; top notes Sparkling Fresh Fruits, Blood Mandarin, Peppermint; and base notes Sensual Leather, Amber.  I think the reason I found this appealing was the fact that although it’s a male fragrance there are notes of rose in there. The woody oriental scent is appealing as it’s masculine yet quite seductive.  I was really surprised that my other half liked it as he isn’t one to go for floral scents.  So it’s not a million a miles from the usual male scents, but has a subtle difference to make it stand out!

Ted Baker Women’s Mini Hanging Perfume Gifts - Aspiring Londoner

Lastly, the Ted Baker Women’s Mini Hanging Gifts.  I like this as a gift as it allows the recipient to try new fragrances.  The four beautifully packaged little perfume bottles that fit perfectly into your clutch are perfect as gifts.  There is XO with notes of orange blossom, gardenia jasmine, tuberose and powdery musk smells very sophisticated.  X20 has notes of star anise, grapefruit, magnolia, mirabelle plum and water lily is quite a vibrant fragrance.  W has notes of fig leaf, white peony, african violet, pink orchid, cassis, raspberry, warm cedar and vanilla.  You can really smell the exotic fruity notes coming through.  And Woman has notes of bergamot, tangerine, lemon, apple, peach, jasmine, freesia, rose, and vanilla.  This is the most floral fragrance of the selection yet still appeals to me.  I imagine it’s because of the citrus notes.

I think I should get a job in a perfumery; I’d just be in fragrance heaven!  What are some your favourite perfumes for date nights?  Share in the comments below or tweet me @aspiring_london!
