Sleek MakeUp Face & Highlighting Palettes Review & Swatches

Sleek MakeUp Face & Highlighting Palettes Review - Aspiring Londoner

Palettes are my favourites for makeup products.  They include different elements of a makeup bag packaged beautifully and excite me immensely in anticipation of what’s inside.  As you know, I love Sleek MakeUp eyeshadow palettes, so was very excited about their face palettes launching late last year.

There were two eye and cheek palettes and a highlighter palette.  The Sleek MakeUp Eye and Cheek Palettes, £9.99 include a bronzer, a blusher and four eyeshadows.  Judging by the colours I’d say, the Dancing Till Dusk Palette was designed for fair skin and See You At Midnight Palette for darker skin.  This is solely based on the bronzer shades.  I have to say I wasn’t a fan of the blushers or the bronzers in either palette.  The colours were a little too bright for the blushers and the bronzers were too warm/red toned.  The eyeshadows on the other hand are execellent.  This comes as no surprise if you’ve Sleek’s eyeshadow palettes before.  Great colours, great pigmentation and lasts well with primers.  I’ve included swatches below from both palette.

However the star of the show is most definitely the Precious Metals Highlighting Palette, £9.99.  The palette has four cream highlighters – Platinum (pink-pearly white), Royal Gold (straight up metallic gold), Renaissance Gold (champagne gold), and Antique Bronze (bronze gold).  The creamy formula really effortlessly blends with your skin without any patchiness.  The Antique Bronze shade is a powder formula yet it feels buttery soft and feels the same on your skin when applied.  The reason I love this is because of the variety it gives you.  Depending on the event, the season, my makeup, I do vary my highlighter shades and this is absolutely perfect and I will probably never need another highlighter again (I probably will buy more though...!).  Four highlighter for under a tenner *drool*!  I cannot fault this palette in any way, If there’s one palette you need in your life, make it this one.  You won’t regret it!

Another point to note, I have lost many nails trying to open my Sleek MakeUp Eyeshadow palettes before.  Thank God, Sleek has listened and these palettes have a metallic closing.  Fear not, they don’t easily open up and make a mess in your bag.  My nails thank you Sleek!
