Good Things is a fairly new brand to me. I was intrigued by the brand as it’s free
from sulphates, animal ingredients, mineral oils and parabens. You don’t often get drugstore/high street
brands who exclude these nasties for the price tag.
One of the first things I’ve tried from
them is Good Things Argan Oil Nourishing Cleansing Oil, £5.99. It comes in a 150ml bottle with a flip top
cap. I use this as a first cleanse to
remove my makeup rather then cleansing my skin.
The cap is slightly annoying, I would’ve preferred a pump, but it’s not
a deterrent for me. I expected the oil
to have quite a sweet fragrance due to the blend of argan, macademia and sweet almond
oil however it actually smells like fresh ginger! I was so pleasantly surprised as it instantly
feels quite invigorating.
I pour quite a few drops of the oil and
rub between my palms and then just rub all over my face gently. Immediately I see the makeup just melting
with the oil, no vigorous rubbing required, just gently massage your face all
over. It takes off eye makeup too,
although I sometimes have to go in with an eye makeup remover after to really
get rid of every last bit of mascara.
Then I go in with a damp face cloth and gently wipe it all away. This completely takes off every last bit of
makeup I have. Afterwards my skin feels
really soft and fresh!
This is the first cleansing oil I’ve
used and it’s been an eye-opener for me.
It’s so easy to take makeup off with this, even when I have quite heavy
makeup on. The fragrance, the texture of
the product is just excellent. For under
£6, it’s a bargain as I’ve been using this for over a month, and I’ve only used
about a sixth of the bottle! I highly
recommend this to anyone, who’s looking for an oil based makeup remover.
