Mother's Day Fragrance Gift Guide

Mother's Day Fragrance Gift Guide ft. Stella, Giorgio Armani, The Body Shop - Aspiring Londoner

As you know, I love fragrances!  There’s no two ways about it, I love to receive them as presents and to give them as presents as well.  It’s a hardly a surprise when I come at you with my latest picks for Mother’s Day!

This is a relatively easy one for me.  I’ve 'borrowed' one too many of my mum’s perfumes growing up and now know exactly what she’d like!  I imagine, most girls are like this, not sure about boys.  I’ve got a few options lined up; a couple of budget ones and a couple of splurge-y ones.

Stella Eau de Parfum Spray 50ml, £49 is an oldie but a goodie.  I don’t think I know anybody who doesn’t love good old Stella!  With a blend of mandarin essence, peony, English rose accord and amber accord, it’s the perfect feminine sophisticated scent.  I love how it lingers for the longest time and gets better and better as it settles!

A new favourite I got my mum last year is the Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia Eau de Parfum Spray 50ml, £48It is very different to Stella and smells really fresh!  The combination of notes are Crushed Mint Leaves, Limone Primo Fiore, Aquatic Green Accord, Pink Pepper, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Peony, Cedarwood, Labdanum, and Brown Sugar accord.  Although it has floral notes coming through from the peony the fresh scent from crushed mint leaves and lemon really makes it come alive!  It’s the scent for Spring/Summer.

Both of my budget picks are from The Body Shop and I can’t believe I haven’t looked into these before!  Firstly The Body Shop White Musk Smoky Rose Eau de Toilette 60ml, £16.  It has a blend of black smoky rose and tobacco flower which gives it a slight depth.  So the floral notes don’t make it to too girly.  I don’t tend to like rose scents a lot, but this was really nice.  It wasn’t overwhelming and was perfect for wearing during the day.  If your mum likes floral notes, she’ll love this!

The Body Shop Red Musk™ Eau de Parfum 60ml, £20 is very different to all the above.  There are no floral notes at all, so this is definitely for someone who loves musky and spicy notes.  The note combines spiced musk with cinnamon and intense tobacco.  You might be thinking that’s not for me, but seriously give this a smell when you’re in a store next!  It is incredible!  I haven’t smelt anything quite like it, it’s deep yet smells quite feminine.  I don’t think my words can do this one justice, go and give it a try!

FYI, if you have O2 Priority Moments app, TBS currently has £25 off £50 so basically 50% off!  Make sure you take advantage of that, I definitely will be!

I hope you’ve enjoyed my selection of fragrances for Mother’s Day Gift Guide.  Perfumes are a hard thing to choose by reading reviews, but I feel by narrowing it down, you won’t waste as much time in the shops!
