3 Guaranteed Ways To Increase Your Blog Pageviews

Is there a lack of traffic to your blog posts and you don't know where you're going wrong?  You put a lot of effort into writing a blog post, taking pictures and finally publishing it.  It's disheartening if that's not enough to drive a lot of traffic to your blog.  After blogging for a while and looking closely at my analytics, I've noticed a few things that has helped my pageviews and I'm going to share these with you.

Social Media

Social media is the best way to increase your pageviews.  When I started blogging back in 2013 - I knew nothing, nothing about how crucial social media was for blogging.  This shows on how little progress I made back then.  Since I've wised up on how to use social media better - it has been the ultimate traffic driver to my blog.  Sharing my post links on Twitter, sharing blog photos on Instagram and Pinterest has helped immensely.  I also always share older post links too as newer followers may not have seen them and helps drive traffic to older posts.

Also, make sure you take part in the blogger chats on Twitter - #bbloggers on Wednesday/Sunday 8pm, #lbloggers on Wedensday/Sunday 7pm are the ones I regularly try to take part in.  Please let me know if you want to know more about using social media for blogging in the comments below if I have enough requests, I will write one!

Related Posts Widgets

Another little gem is related posts widget.  There are a few out there - LinkWithin and Engageya are particularly good ones.  They are incredibly easy to install and is really helpful for readers as they can be redirected to old blog posts that may be of interested to them.

I mentioned this in my Easy SEO Tips post.  It's also helpful for your readers to find previous posts that are helpful to what they might be looking for.  For instance, your reader might be looking at a swatch of a blusher, and you've posted about a similar blusher before.  Make it easy for your reader and put the link there so your reader can easily click the link and find what they're looking for.  This means your old posts are getting traffic and your reader will most likely come back as they;ve been able to easily find what they were looking for.
