Best Of | Max Factor

Max Factor has always been one of those brands that I've walked past in Boots.  It's not a brand I've looked into too much until recently and it led me to think why on earth did I wait this long?!  Max Factor has some amazing products that are drugstore price points yet are comparable to much higher end products.

Best Of Max Factor Makeup Review Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

I've previously posted a comparison of these Max Factor blushes with the Hourglass Ambient blushes.  Although I didn't think they were dupes, they are incredible.  They're not like anything I've tried from the drugstore, the shade range is great, the pigmentation and effect of the blushes are great.  I won't go on too much about them, as you can read the full review with swatches.  But these are definitely up there with the top drugstore products for me.

Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm Exquisit Caramel Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

Okay, so with these I had a 'love at first swatch' moment.  Like really, that doesn't happen a lot for me at the drugstore.  I like things, but I'm never like blown away to the point where I'm hoarding the lot and running to the till.  I have the shade Exquisit Caramel in the Max Factor Colour Intensifying Balm, which is a great nude sade for my lips.  It's the most smooth and balm-y product I've tried from the drugstore.  It's super nourishing, and has enough colour payoff that is almost opaque.  These are very similar to the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors in formula and texture but has more pigmentation.  The shade range is good in these and honestly I've been loving using these as they're effortless to use and still looks like you've put lipstick on!

Another one I've posted about that is a true dupe of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfectors!  Max Factor are just on point with their lip products at the moment!  The formula of these are really nice and the colour payoff is nice for a balmy product.  They wear off to leave a subtle stain which I also like.  In the summer, these'd be perfect to wear to the beach or to a BBQ or something as it'd keep your lips hydrated and leave that nice stain after you've eaten etc.  There are six shades in the range and I hope they'll add more shades!  I won't go on too much, you can read the full review here.

I was really excited when I saw these as I wanted to see if they're similar to the Maybelline Color Tattoos.  They're actually not similar at all, the Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadows have a more mousse like consistency and is much lighter to apply.  The colours are very intense and stays really well with a primer.  On its own they're not amazing for staying power, but the reason I love them is because of the amazing pigmentation and how effortless they are to apply!  I've applied them on top of other eyeshadows and they blended perfectly well!  Great little eyeshadows for adding a 'pop' to any eye makeup.

Max Factor Excess Longwear Eyeliners Charcoal Swatch - Aspiring Londoner

Truly brilliant eyeliner, the only long wearing eyeliners that stays in my water line!  The formula is super creamy and almost melts on application, and sets to not budge at all!  You can smudge them on your lashline straight after application, but don't leave it too long as they do set.  There are a few shades so you can use them for any looks.  I have the shades Charcoal and Teal, and love both!  I'd highly recommend these if you're a fan of the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliners!
