By far my favourite powder highlighter is theBalm Cosmetics' Mary Lou-Manizer. The powder is so fine that it looks like your skin is glowing naturally! It has the perfect amount of golden shimmer without making you look like a disco ball. I love using this with the Real Techniques Setting brush and a light dusting gives the most beautiful glow ever! I love this for everyday use, an absolute favourite of mine!
The newest addition to my highlighter family, the No7 Shimmer Palette in Rose. It's very reminiscent of the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks. The palette consists of of four stripes of highlighters of different colours that can be swirled together or just used individually. It's quite shimmery so definitely one for this summer when you're a little more tanned and want that extra glow on your skin. There's a Caramel shade as well for a more golden shimmer. And the rose gold packaging is absolutely stunning, if you're anything like me, you're going to want this in your makeup collection!
Illamasqua's Aurora is a cream highlighter and almost turns to powder when applied. This is a super shimmery highlighter and a little goes a long way. It is a champagne highlighter and leaves that iridescent glow that you want from a highlighter. The consistency is buttery soft and almost melts on to the skin and then has that velvety powdery finish. I love this for special event and in the summer as the champagne clour against my olive toned skin just looks stunning! I apply this with my fingers for the best dewy finish.
Another cream highlighter that has a slightly creamier formula than Illamasqua's offering. Topshop's Glow in Polished is iridescent with a pink tint rather than champagne. This is what makes it such a favourite of mine, it's very different to all my other highlighters. I love using it when I've got quite minimal makeup on as this adds that little bit extra something to make the look stand out. Also really amazing as a brow highlight! I use my fingers for this too, cream highlighters look best when applied with finger in my opinion.
If you 're going on holiday/travelling - you need this! I'd quite happily call the the No7 Instant Radiance Highlighter a dupe of the new Clinique Chubby Stick Highlighter. It is creamy, glides on easily and gives amazing summer glow with the least amount of effort! I tend to glide it on straight from the stick and blend slightly with my fingers - done! It's that easy and the golden colour is perfect for the sunny weather we've been having.
