Budget Buy | The Body Shop Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome

I haven't tried a lot of makeup from The Body Shop but have wanted to more and more.  I was really impressed with their Colour Crush Nail Polishes last year.  This year their summer releases include The Body Shop Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome (£8).  I love highlighters as you can see from my post here, so I was happy to test these out for you.

The Highlighter Domes come packaged in a screw top, almost lip balm shaped pots.  The packaging is light and compact, you can throw this in your beach bag and glow like a goddess on the beach!  You can apply them straight from the domes as a crayon applicator, or apply with fingers or a brush.  I love using my fingers because of the balmy smooth formula.  The formula feels really balm/gel-like as you initially apply it, then blends seamlessly onto your skin without leaving much residue.  It's really weightless and this makes it great to apply on top of makeup and through the day.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Highlighting Dome Golden, Pink, Bronze Swatches - Aspiring Londoner

The Highlighter Domes come in three shades - 01 Golden, 02 Pink & 03 Bronze.  01 Golden is a very neutral almost nude shimmery highlighter.  If you see on the swatches, you almost can't see it; picturing this was a task!  I think this'd be suitable for pale skin, and subtle, almost not there kind of everyday glow.

02 Pink is basically a cream version of NARS Orgasm!  This can absolutely be built up to wear as a creamy blusher or just dabbed on lightly for a pink highlighter.  This is suitable for anyone as it's quite a versatile product.  I love this!  03 Bronze is a deep bronze highlight that will look amazing with a tan!  I think this can be worn as a blusher too as it has a decent amount of colour in it.  All the shades are shimmery but it's a subtle kind of shimmer. There are glitter particles in them, but they're very small.  You'll only notice them if you're staring to find them (which I obviously was!).  Beautiful little products from TBS for summer, and just great for holidays or just basking in the sun with a sun-kissed glow.
