The L'Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss (£6.99) are available in both matte and gloss formulas - this is great for giving options. I know a lot of people like their glosses to be glosses instead of liquid lipsticks with matte finish. The biggest issue I had with the Bourjois lip products were the awful smell, the L'Oreal glosses smell really pleasant and doesn't linger.
The packaging is very sleek, I much prefer this compared to the old L'Oreal Infallible Gloss packaging. It looks much more expensive and dare I say, grown up! The wand is an unique shape with a crook in the middle where the product gathers and it moulds around your lips to give even application. The applicator is quite precise too, which really helps with precision when applying the matte formulas.
The shade Amen has a matte finish. Despite the finish, the formula is really creamy and applies evenly on the lips. I find it really easy to apply with the applicator as it layers well. You can even reapply hours later without any issues. I've worn it quite a few times this summer, in the dry heat and humid heat - it didn't budge. Even with this kind of longevity, it doesn't cling to any dry skin on my lips or feel 'dry'. The warm nude shade has become quite the favourite in my collection. To be honest, it hasn't left my handbag since I got it! I think this is a great option for those that want to get their hands on the Sephora Lip Creams but can't (expect a review of the Sephora one soon!).
Mafia is described as a cream finish, however I'd say this is just a pigmented gloss. It is more pigmented than your standard lip gloss but no where near as pigmented as the matte glosses. The colour is quite buildable, the swatch below is one swipe for reference. The texture is light and feels nourishing. It's like having a lovely lip balm on your lips. There is no stickiness involved and is great for a minimal fresh look. The shade Mafia is a great dupe for NARS Lipgloss in Priscilla (link) that I looove! It feels and looks almost identical! I'm quite keen to try out some of the other shades too, as the formula is really lovely. You'll see from the swatches below, how lovely the texture and the quality of the glosses are. Super impressed with both formulas!
