Smashbox Light It Up Studio Best Sellers Review

Smashbox is one of my favourite makeup brands.  In fact, their photo finish primer was the first primer that actually worked on my oil-slicked skin.  This year, as I was browsing through the Boots Christmas Catalogues (yep, I got it in September...), I saw Smashbox have quite a few sets.  The one that caught my eye in particular was the Smashbox Light It Up Studio Best Sellers (£30).  Let me tell you why...

Smashbox lipsticks are one of my favourites.  They have great pigmentation and formula.  The kind that feels luxurious on your lips.  A full size lipstick will cost you £17.50 - you can see the savings already. The shade 'Get Fired' is a pink toned red that will that will be the clutch companion in the festive season.  I love how smooth and nourishing it feels on the skin without feeling sticky!

When Smashbox says something is waterproof, you better believe it.  The Always Sharp Kohl Liner is great for lining your waterline as it does not budge.  Black eyeliner is an essential in any woman's makeup bag. 'Raven' is a classic matte black shade that can be worn smudged along the lash line too.  The always sharp feature is quite the godsend when you're on the go.  This is now residing in my travel makeup bag, so I can touch up when I'm out and about.

The Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Oil-free is one of my favourite products.  It is really effective at controlling shine.  It doesn't make you matte, but still manages to keep my face shine free.  I've worn this when I've gone to weddings, parties that were going to last for hours.  This really does do that!  It has quite a silicone'y texture - so test it out and see how you feel.  For me, it creates the perfect smooth, velvety base for foundation to go on.  You need a small amount, so this mini size will last you a good while.  Absolutely love it!

It's pretty tough to impress an age old mascara junkie like me, so I was excited to see how Smahsbox holds up in this department.  The Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara claims to volumise, lengthen and curl your lashes.  Whilst it does lengthen my lashes, it's not that volumising nor does it hold a curl really well.  It'd be good for everyday use - for a natural yet defined look.

Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color Highlighter Hollywood & Highlight Review - Aspiring Londoner

I hadn't tried the Smashbox L.A. Lights Blendable Lip & Cheek Color highlighter before.  It's in a crayon packaging and highlighter is creamy, but not glossy.  I really like it after trying it out.  It has a lovely gold sheen, no glitter involved.  the shade Hollywood & Highlight is a great golden (but not yellow!) highlight that will compliment any skin tone.  I've been wearing this pretty much everyday since I got my hands on it.

For all these great products, you actually end up paying £6 each!  That's insane value for money!  I'd definitely recommend picking this up; if not for yourself than as a present.  I'm also eyeing up the Smashbox Light It Up Essential Brush Set now....!
